The PLAYList Challenge

I had the honor of being able to be a part of #playlist retreat2016, hosted by the one and only DJ Jazzy Jeff, and it was one of the most eye-opening experiences I have had in my life. Being inspired by some of the most talented musicians, DJ's, writers, producers, engineers, managers, etc...who were all open with their exchange of ideas, philosophies, techniques, and personalities with no ego involved was truly amazing and I look forward to future collaborations with any and all of the great people I met there!! 

ABOUT THE PLAYLIST RETREAT

The Playlist Challenge is a marquee event of the annual Playlist Retreat. Every year, artists are tasked with working together to make music in the most unconventional ways. This year’s challenge: 80 artists, randomly assigned to 18 teams, have 24 hours to create their best song using a hidden flash drive of mystery content. Armed with instruments, equipment and one clue, each team scours the Playlist Retreat campgrounds in search of their flash drive of sounds before embarking on a session like no other. When it comes how music is made, The Playlist Challenge aims to disrupt the status quo. Check out what happens when teams of veteran artists, up-and-comers, acquaintances and perfect strangers come together, revealing the true meaning of Inspiration, Motivation and Collaboration.
